MTPA of LNG
and SGC production

The Project will build a liquefied natural gas (LNG) and stabilized gas condensate (SGC) plant comprising three liquefaction trains capable of producing a total of 19.8 MTPA of LNG and 1.6 MTPA of SGC.

Each train comprises:
  • A concrete gravity-based structure (GBS), including LNG and condensate storage tanks and utility systems;
  • Topside modules where feed gas and condensate will be treated and commodity LNG and SGC will be produced, including offloading arms, special-purpose main power supply and emergency power generation systems.

The three Trains will make a shared use of the onshore facilities such as the central control building, onshore pipe racks, electrical substation, high-pressure flare, start-up water/glycol boiler, brash ice management system, etc.

GBS are manufactured in two dry docks of the LNG Construction center in the vicinity of Belokamenka settlement (Murmansk Oblast).

While each GBS is under construction, the fabrication yards in Asia and Russia will be making the topside modules. A lifting and skidding system at the LNG construction center will mount the finished modules onto GBS, where the topside modules will be connected to GBS and to each other. Then, the modules will undergo pre-commissioning and commissioning.

The ready-to-operate trains will be towed to Gydan peninsula, where they will be settled down on a prepared offshore foundation. They will then be connected to the onshore facilities, the gas turbines will be fired and the final commissioning will take place until the start-up.

The first train starts-up in 2023.
